An anniversary season is always a time to celebrate, reflect, and dream. While one might expect the Richmond Symphony Orchestra to look back over the past 59 years and recall its most impactful performances and mesmerizing guest artists, the RSO will instead look forward with anticipation believing The Best Is Yet to Come.
The RSO will treat audiences to a mixture of classical and contemporary pieces at each concert – compositions ranging from the 18th century to as recently as 2013. Along with three dynamic guest artists, fifteen works the RSO have not performed in its 59-year history will be featured. The RSO truly intends to honor its past while looking expectantly to the future.
